Feast of Tabernacles

The concept of Feast of Tabernacles was big question mark then when I first presented it at In Christ We Live Family Christian Center. If you were there that Saturday morning (board meeting), you yourself will notice how most faces reqcted. Not to mention the secret smiles of some. But one stood up and said, "I think we should do it." (of course in filipino/tagalog language). No, it was not the Pastors and Elders, but someone who is behind the scene... we call her "Ate Nanet Gonzales," the church secretary then.

Honestly, I could not believe I initiated this project. I believe it was a "vision" but all along I though that I just desire to beat the monotony atmosphere among the leaders and members. Thank God for poeple who stood us in support of someone's vision. It later led to an approval though I could not forget the doubts among those who prefer traditional events.

It did not run smoothly at first as other leaders doubted if we are truly ready for such a Jewish sacred event, and seem tough to handle. Somehow, I was given the go signal to pursue but was labeled as "trial" only. As always, quiet commotion when I defended my concept. Of course some only thought of it as waste of money. I don't mind as I could not please everybody. Nonetheless, pressures polish more my efforts and God brings my projects to greater heights.

Thank God I pursued it. It later turned-out as one of the most reviving and heartwarming event in years. Hope I had a video of that first Feast held in In Christ We Live Church in the Philippines.

Years later, it is still being observed but I no longer lead. Last year (2008), I was grateful to Ate Eva Escobar as he and the Youth consulted me. Below video presentation was my contribution. Glory to God! I uploaded the video for reference of new youth and workers in years to come.
